Colorado BDR
If you’re unfamiliar with Backcountry Discovery Routes, now’s the time to dig in. These rides demand preparation—smart packing, an understanding of the terrain, and a solid grasp of the difficulty ahead. This particular route is built for experienced, confident riders with moderate to advanced skills. You’ll need to be comfortable navigating rough, technical terrain and ready to ride with purpose.
Our adventure kicks off at Colorado’s scenic southern border and climbs straight into the heart of the Rockies. Over the course of seven days and six nights, we’ll push through some of the most awe-inspiring—and intimidating—mountain passes in the West. The pace will be focused: early camp breakdowns, efficient mileage when terrain allows, and group coordination to tackle the toughest sections.
This isn’t a casual ride—it’s a test of skill, grit, and group dynamics in some of the most legendary terrain in the country.

Dark Skies: New Mexico
This journey was made for those who find magic in the night. Over the course of several days, we’ll explore seven of New Mexico’s official Dark Sky locations—each one a portal to the cosmos. By day, we’ll carve through sweeping landscapes on exhilarating motorcycle routes, pausing to enjoy rich local flavors and the warm hospitality of locally owned hotels and B&Bs.
By night, we’ll look up—far from the glow of city lights—and experience the sky as it was meant to be seen: vast, wild, and brilliantly alive.
This isn’t just a ride. It’s a celebration of Earth and sky, of open roads and endless stars.

Rally in the Valley: A Misfit Adventure
The Misfits are heading to the breathtaking Carrizo Plain National Monument—and we couldn’t be more excited to explore one of California’s most remote and visually striking landscapes. This ride will be a more rugged, minimalist version of our usual Spring gathering at Hollister Hills—no showers, no catering, and fewer amenities—but that’s exactly the point.
Carrizo offers something far more valuable: wide-open freedom, stunning desert vistas, and miles upon miles of trails suited for all skill levels. Expect rolling grasslands, dramatic ridge-lines, and the potential for wildflower blooms and wildlife sightings under expansive skies. Whether you’re a seasoned dual-sport rider or just looking for solitude and connection, this trip is about stripping things down to what matters most: the ride, the land, and the camaraderie.
While this is a self-supported event, some food and basic supplies will be provided to keep spirits high and bellies full. Come prepared to be self-sufficient, inspired, and recharged. The Carrizo Plain promises adventure without distraction—just you, your bike, and the open desert road.

Halloween in the Gila
Halloween in the Gila is a three-day ride through one of the Southwest’s wildest and most remote landscapes: the Gila National Forest. This backcountry route weaves through ancient volcanic mountains, deep pine forests, and rugged canyons, following sections of the New Mexico Backcountry Discovery Route (NMBDR) and lesser-known forest roads. Expect crisp fall air, golden aspens at elevation, and winding dirt tracks that lead you far from cell service and city lights. The riding offers a mix of smooth gravel, technical climbs, and creek crossings — a true dual-sport adventure where preparation and spirit are equally essential.
What sets this ride apart is the timing: Halloween weekend, beneath some of the darkest skies in the continental U.S. Camp under a blanket of stars in remote clearings that feel haunted only by coyotes and the wind. We’ll trace historic mining trails, stop at hidden hot springs, and end each day with a fire, warm food, and tales that blur the line between myth and memory. This isn’t a costume party — it’s a full immersion into the mystical wild heart of New Mexico.
